This course provides the key knowledge on the principle of operation, characteristics, specifications, energy analysis, design considerations, system sizing, and installation requirements of photovoltaic cells, wind turbine, hydropower, and solar thermal systems. The economic and the environmental considerations will be considered in the analysis. The course also covers the devices used to condition, store and control the energy within the system. The sources of data, the availability and the distribution of these data, as well as the assessment and the analysis of the related environmental data should be covered in this course. Furthermore, this course provides an introduction and brief description of other renewable energy sources like: biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, concentrated solar power, tidal and wave energy
